When I turned the TV on today, I caught some of the funeral of Whitney Houston, I thought of a life of a person who satan wrecked and destroyed. So many of Hollywood’s famous have had their lives cut short. So many started out serving God and had a background of faith.
As the song played, “I will always love you”, it brought tears to my eyes. Life is so short, yet people seem to turn their faces that it may not be drugs or abusing of the body that can take you out, but things like unforgiveness, bitterness, anger and etc. People are so judgmental of certain sins, yet in the Bible it states that sin is sin. Have you ever thought about how we can accept certain sins but yet look down on other sins of the flesh.

We have to give satan credit for doing his job well. He steals, kills and destroys. He is the master of deception. Will the Body of Christ ever wake up, and realize who the enemy is?
In all of our lives we have experienced disappointments and hurts, but we have the ability inside of us, (a God given grace) that can forgive no matter what the offense.
Stephen looked into heaven when he was being stoned to death, cried out to God to” hold not this charge against them.” How powerful!! .
Have we grown so cold hearted that we want people to pay for their mistakes? Have we forgotten that we need forgiveness in our own lives? When we won’t forgive, neither will the Father forgive us. I don’t know about you, but I need the Father’s forgiveness. Because I miss it, and I’m not perfect.
Throughout my lifetime I have endured many many hurts. I have had to say I am sorry, forgive me so many times . I have had to ask for forgiveness when I knew I wasn’t at fault. But I wanted to please my Jesus more than myself. I have had to teach myself that no matter what someone says about me, or how they hurt me, their actions can’t keep me from loving them, unless I allow them to. Many times we have to love by faith. Its a decision we each have to make.
No matter what we face, no matter who hurts us, it can’t be compared to what Jesus felt hanging on the cross. He loved us so much, He was willing to give His life for us.
When men rejected Him, He kept on loving. His life keeps on calling out to the world, “I will always love you”

Whose Clothes are you Wearing?

Strange title, but it got your attention!!! Look around at the Christian world and it has become a generation that its hard to tell the believers from the unbelievers.
The Bible tells us plainly, “we are known by the fruit we bear.” So many of God’s children have lost their identity. They identify with the world , even though we are instructed to come out from among them and be separate.
In this article I want to use clothes as an example to explain a point. There are three ways our clothes fit. Too tight, too loose or comfortable.
In our walk with God we have to guard ourselves from being conformed into the image of man. Romans 12:1-2 tells us not to be conformed (fashioned after) to the world.

People are being brought back under the law, trying to live by a set of of rules and regulations. They are living their lives under bondage. No room to breathe. This lifestyle will squeeze the very life out of you. The clothes are too tight.

Then we have those that like the loose clothing. Do your own thing. They find it easy to slip in and out of their garments. Can be one thing one moment and another thing the next moment, depending on who they are with. They dress like the world, talk like the world and act like the world. Their attitude is that nobody is going to tell them what to do. (Not even God). They read the Bible only to point out others mistakes, but can’t see or hear what maybe God is speaking to them. Their lifestyle is totally centered around self.

Then there is those clothes that are worn that feels so good. Not too tight, nor too loose. Just right. For the Christian that is seeking to do things God’s way, wearing the garments of humility, clothing themselves with godliness and are comfortable with who they are. When a person doesn’t know who they are in Christ Jesus they do things just to be accepted or to fit in. They are seeking the approval of man.
God has clothed us with HIS righteousness. Romans 10:3-4. Everyday I can dress up in His garments. I can meet the world with my head held high, knowing I belong to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
I have learned that I am free to be free. Free to be me. “Whom the Son has set free is free indeed.” Freedom comes from within.
Learning who you really are, will enable you to live a life comfortable in the sight of God. Not trying to be anyone other than who the Master Designer made you to be.

Fullfill your Destiny

We used to sing a song that goes like this, ” I have a Destiny, I know I shall fullfill, I have a destiny with that city on a hill. I have a destiny, its not an empty wish, for I know I was born for such a time as this.”

Each of us are destined for greatness. God doesn’t make junk, there are no junk yards in heaven. Only mansions!!!! He has a plan and a purpose for our lives. Jerm. 29:11.
God put a dream and a vision inside of us. He sees us walking in that calling. So many of God’s children can’t see themselves fullfilling their destiny.
Situations and circumstances happen in our lives to steal our dreams. Time has a way of blurring the vision. When things don’t happen after so many years, your pathway gets dimmer and dimmer. One day you wake up and your dreams and visions have disappeared.
Not in God’s eyes. He never gives up on us. Philippians 1:6, Being confident of this very thing, that He which has begun a good work in you, will perform( finish) it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” The Amplified Bible says to look away from all that will distract.
Whatever has gotten you distacted from fullfilling your God given dream, today I encourage you to re-focus. Look deep inside and pull that vision up and ask God to help you once again to burn with a desire to fullfill your destiny.
Don’t let satan rob you of what God put in your heart. Get back on course and run your race to the finish line.

I am always blessed when I visit with the ladies. They are my spiritual daughers. Today I talked with the ladies about the warfare within.
All of us have circumstances that confront us. We have to decide to win or let them defeat us. I choose to win. The battle is in the mind. The conflict attacks our soulish realm. Everyday we have to make a decision to either be controlled by what the enemy is trying to do to us or rise up on the inside, knowing you are more than a conqueror.
God has a equipped us and made us well able to take our ground. If God be for us, who can be against us. (It doesn’t matter who is against you, when God is on your side).
